About Me
Since a young age I have been deeply fascinated in others life stories; forever resulting in me being told off for chatting when I was in school. While I was never without my polaroid film camera as a child, I received my first digital camera in adolscence. While this not only lasted me a good few years, it also gave to me a gift - a device in which to capture on canvas the life stories that others kindly shared with me. I felt very privileged being on the other side of the lens during these years and this has never left me.
When in high school a wonderful teacher caught onto my photographic ventures and offered me the chance to take an A level in Photography, two academic years early. At this time I started to realise that not only did I have a passion for peoples life stories, but I also appeared to see the world in differing ways to others. I was obsessed with the microscopic details others did not see, and also had a love for lines, colours and unusual perspectives. I gained a national academic award for my photography in recognition for my work and I have since been obsessed with capturing others experiences, with my added twist.
All of this initially afforded me the development of a strong portraiture collection, until recent years when I discovered my passion for wedding photography. The otherwise often inhibited emotion that permeates a couples special day, is the closest worldly feeling to magic - that I believe exists. Documenting this is a real privilege alongside capturing the connections, love and laughter present on the day.
My promise to you is that I will take on the bestowed duty of photographer with uttermost importance; while ensuring you feel as comfortable as possible in front of the lens on your special day.
